Meet the artist.

 


Hello - I'm Jan, and I've been painting since I was four years old. My formal art training includes A-Level, a Graphics Diploma and many courses in Life Drawing, watercolour, acrylics, oils and pastels.

I now teach art, run an art club and paint as often as I can. I've had 36## Your picture: 'L'Albarda, Mina 023 re.jpg' has been inserted here ## exhibitions of my work, many of them solo exhibitions - in England, France and Spain. I've won prizes for painting too. I've undertaken portrait commissions of children, adults and pets including cats, dogs and horses in an art career spanning over 35 years.

You can also commission a painting similar to one you see on this website, or I can create a painting from one or two of your own photos. They will need to be a decent size, clear, and accurate as to colour, likeness and expression. Since moving to Spain I've found that my paintings are bolder and brighter. Don't worry, if you commission a portrait or painting it will arrive safely within 4-6 weeks, often less depending on my workload. And you can specify exactly what you want!
